Wildland Firefighting Services

Henderson Aviation has been providing helicopter support to the USFS since the 1960's. Wildfire suppression activities include Initial Attack, Water Drops, Rappel Insertions, Aerial Ignition, External Loads and Mapping. See TFIS

Henderson Aviation routinely travels the Western United States to assist in these activities. Henderson Aviation also does project work for the USFS & AMD. Some projects include Repeater Site Servicing and Fire Lookout Re-supply.
